Playa Blanca 03/11/2010

Looking for a quieter resort in Lanzarote? Then head to Playa Blanca which has not yet given in to the demands of the developers. Whilst the beaches at Correljo on the nearby Island of Fuerteventura may be better. Playa Blanca does have a decent set of beaches with Punta del Papagayo being the best.

Flights to Lanzarote tip: Got a group of you going to Lanzarote, Villas Kamezi offer a bungalow for upto 8 people with its own private saltwater pool! To find a great deal on flights, use our Flights to Lanzarote search.

Getting a flight to Lanzarote with the kids? Then Lanzarote has you covered. It has everything from the Guinate Tropical Park to many sea-based ventures. These include glass-bottom boats. Submarine Safaris is one just company offering these trips and it includes a kids club where the kids can even learn how to build a submarine.

Flights to Lanzarote Tip: If the sea isn't for you, then why not head over to Costa Teguise's Aquapark with the usual rides and slides.

Puerto Del Carmen – looking to party? This place has it all. Avendia Playas is its main street and it is packed with shops, (many) bars and restaurants. Some local bar highlights include: Cerveceria San Miguel and Buddy’s offering British staples such as John Smiths and Guiness. If you are looking for a more authentic experience then head over to Restaurante La Canada – superb oysters will set you back just 3.60 euros.

Flights to Lanzarote Tip: Why not take a short trip over to Corralejo on the Island of Fuerteventura.

So you have got a flight to Lanzarote and landed at Guasimeta Airport, what next? Well you may have a pre-arranged pick up from the airport. If not then you have a few options:

Get a taxi - this will set up back around 30 euros to get to Playa Blanca. Get a bus - numbers 22 & 23 cost 1 euro and take around 20 minutes to get to the captial Arrecife. If you plan to do some travelling around while on the Island, then how about hiring a car. It will work out a lot cheaper than a taxi. Rental offices can be found at the airport.
